This coarse-textured coating can be easily thinned and tinted to match OEM textures. We formulated our 3M™ Rocker Schutz™ Coating for some of the most demanding collision repair jobs: repairing rocker panels and other vehicle areas that can be neglected even as they are exposed to salt and other chemicals close to the roadway. This tough, chip-resistant coating contains nitrile rubber and has been tested for excellent adhesion to metals and primers as well as resistance to salt, moisture and small impact from sand and gravel. This is especially important for newer-model trucks and other vehicles where rocker panels are more integral to the overall strength of the vehicle frame. The coating applies easily, becomes tack free in as a little as 5 minutes and is paintable in as little as 30 minutes to save time and money in the shop.
